Modern Art of Japan by Kimono Tradition
KnitCafe is a place where you find unique materials that embody life stories from all corners of our world, whether told recently or handed down from one generation to the next.
Upcycled Kimono art is one such attempt at shedding light on fast disappearing works rooted in the past. KnitCafe selects these materials to find their relevance in our fast paced modern lifestyles. It is a media in its own right. It’s a media for artists to rediscover qualities in centuries old artwork.
We promote alternative methods of learning.

With creativity in learning we inspire people to shed light onto themselves, and rediscover his or her own strengths. These workshops stimulate and promote inquisitiveness and curiosity.
We hope to hand down the esthetics of Kimono by upcycling unworn and no longer worn traditional woven silk clothing of the past.
